We love working with families because we truly get to experience and catch a glimpse of families and their love. This family was so wonderful and so sweet.
The shoot was a surprise for the grandmother and grandfather as their mothers and fathers day present. It originally was going to be a surprise to them without them attending the shoot and just receive a picture of the entire family. But, circumstances changed. The week before the shoot they found out that the grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. They all decided it would be best to include them in the family portrait and let that experience be the surprise.
The surprise was wonderful and so amazing for us to be apart of. I know they will cherish these pictures for the rest of their lives. They all have a wonderful bond and family connection. This shoot was truly a great honor to be apart of. We know God can do mighty things, so we pray for healing and strength for this family as they go through this trial. Thank you for letting us be apart of this wonderful surprise!

I have the privilege of working with amazing people and one of those amazing people is the assistant principal of my school. She is truly a delight to work with and such a joy to be around. She recently had her second child and so I asked if I could capture a few pictures for her. I wanted to capture not only her beautiful children but their beautiful home as well. I love coming into homes to take pictures of families because everyone is able to relax and have a good time! To me it really captures who they are and reflects their everyday lives. Thank you Crystal for allowing me to come into your home, play with your kids and snap a few shots!

Over the Christmas break, we were feeling creative and so we decided to have a giveaway. The winner would receive a free session and DVD of the edited images. We had go go with the second name drawn because the first name drawn was unable to come. The second name we drew was the Cox family. They had just gotten home from the hospital the day before with their newborn Shelby. The dad, Ryan, wasn’t sure if it would be too early for a photo shoot, but the mom Meagan, said sure. Since they had a brand new new born we decided it would be best to do the shoot at their house. They also had 2 boys, who were the cutest and very social boys. We decided to take the boys outside and play while Meagan fed Shelby and this way we could get some great outside more natural pictures of the boys. Ryan joined the boys outside for some football, which was so fun to watch them play and interact. Ryan told us that it reminded him of how important it is to play outside with them and make time for that. Sometimes life can be so busy for us all and we just want to chill out on the couch, so I was honored that our photography reminded him how important family time was to him and his family. What better way to capture a family then being yourself and just playing. Shelby was the best little girl during the shoot. She fell asleep right after she got fed, which made it great for us to get some great and very cute shots of her. Meagan works at Neiman Marcus so we captured a picture of Shelby in a Neiman’s box, which turned out so cute. This family was so very sweet and we hope to capture them again and watch their kids grow up. Congrats on being our Christmas 2010 giveaway winners!!

We just love this family and are blessed to call them friends. It is such a joy and honor when your personal friends love your work and we are able to take their pictures. This family is so fun to hang out with so we knew a day of capturing them would be nothing less. We decided to take their pictures in downtown Forney for a rustic/country look. Their little boy Wyatt is so cute and one of the funniest kids we have ever known. He loved having his picture taken, so that always makes our job easy. We are absolutely blessed to have such wonderful friends like the Voth’s.
